Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been arrested on DUI charges.
The Florida Highway Patrol stopped Seferian-Jenkins for entering the southbound lanes of 275 near SR-60 while traveling 75-80 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. He reportedly cut-off a Florida Trooper while weaving in and out of his lane.
According to the affidavit, the responding officer observed the NFL player with bloodshot and glassy eyes, smelled alcohol on his breath and said he was visibly agitated. During the traffic stop he was slurring his words and leaning on objects for balance.
He refused a breathalyzer test during the traffic stop and asked for a lawyer.
On Friday afternoon, the Bucs released Seferian-Jenkins from the team.
Seferian-Jenkins was booked into the Orient Road Jail at 6 a.m. on Friday.
His bond has been set at $750 and he was released just after noon.
