31-year-old Gulfport man shot and killed, police search for gunman

Police need help identifying a person they say shot and killed a 31-year-old man in Gulfport Tuesday night.

They say the man was shot several times around 10:30 p.m. on Miriam Street South. Officials are working to notify the mans family and have no released his name because of that.

Police investigate two fatal shootings in southern Pinellas County

Police canvassed the neighborhood, and the street was blocked off for hours but officials still do not know who shot him. They are asking for the public's help in identifying the gunman.

The victim was taken to Bayfront Medical center where he later died. Detectives say they have some leads on the case but are still in need of information from any witnesses or people living in the area.
