Publix has recalled Publix Premium Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream due to possible Listeria contamination.
The supplier of cookie dough pieces, Aspen Hills, said some of their product could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The ice cream contains a UPC of 000-41415-03843, and a sell by date of May 27 2017.
It was sold at Publix supermarkets in in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina.
"As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves,” Publix Media and Community Relations Director Maria Brous said in a statement.
She said there have not been any reports of illnesses.
Customers can return the ice cream for a refund.
